The Elders serve in maintaining true Christian doctrine and practice. The Elders work closely with the Pastor to make the Office of the Ministry effective in the congregation and the community. They assist in the Pastoral duties, as requested, such as visitation of the sick and delinquents, leading in worship services, and caring for the needs of this congregation.
The Elders, in conjunction with the Pastor, are in charge of church discipline in accordance with the instructions in Matthew 18:15-20 and carry out their duties concerning church membership.
The Music Ministry at Mt. Calvary provides musical excellence for church hymnody, singing, and choir. Mt. Calvary's Sr. Choir performs anthems at both the 8:00 and 10:45 Sunday services. Mt. Calvary's Praise band provides worship support for the Sunday 10:45 service.
Assistant in Worship serve during the Divine Service and may include: Worship Assistants, Ushers, Acolytes, Readers, and the Altar Guild.
The Safe Church Committee is responsible for maintaining the Safe Church Policy. This policy allows the church to define a safe environment for our kids and maintain all state requirements for adults that work with children.
Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system. Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.
